Compare direct transport to your South Coast stay. One page covers KEF ↔ Skógar and Reykjavík ↔ Skógar, with fares that stay separate from sightseeing tours.

KEF Airport ↔ Skógar

Skógar is a village beside the southern Ring Road, near Skógafoss and the Skógar Museum. A direct private transfer takes you between Keflavík Airport and your agreed pickup or drop-off in Skógar without arranging a city bus change.

NorthTrip owner-confirmed fares, 5 October 2026. One way, per vehicle, direct transport only. Confirm exact endpoints, luggage suitability and booking availability.

Airport pickup and the return journey

For KEF pickup, share your flight details and agree the meeting point and when you will be ready after baggage collection and immigration where applicable. Landing time is not vehicle departure time. Read the KEF ground-transport guide before choosing your pickup time.

For Skógar to Keflavík Airport, confirm your accommodation or meeting point and the flight’s airline deadlines. Allow road-condition margin plus check-in, baggage drop and security. These airport formalities are additional to driving time. Distance and normal driving time for this pair have not been added to our verified road-reference dataset; confirm the exact route and timing when booking rather than relying on an invented estimate.

Reykjavík to Skógar / Skógar to Reykjavík

Already in Reykjavík? Travel directly between the city and Skógar without going through KEF. This can suit a change of accommodation or the onward leg of a South Coast stay. Confirm your city address and the precise Skógar pickup or drop-off; the fares below apply in either direction.

Choose by luggage as well as passenger count

A small private vehicle is the starting point for 1–4 travelers when their bags fit. Five to eight travelers use a van. Four travelers with four large suitcases also use a van under the existing planner rules. Bicycles, golf bags, skis, snowboards and oversized luggage require van suitability and dimension confirmation. More than eight travelers or a larger luggage load needs a custom vehicle plan.

Direct transfer or sightseeing day?

The fixed fares cover direct private transport, not a South Coast tour. A visit to Seljalandsfoss, an extended Skógafoss stop, Sólheimajökull, Dyrhólaey or Reynisfjara is not automatically included. If you want several sightseeing stops, switch to Tour mode in the planner or request a custom itinerary with realistic time for stops and road conditions.

Other ways to travel

A rental car may make sense if you will keep exploring. Compare hire, fuel, parking, usable luggage space and driving conditions. Public transport needs a dated itinerary and an exact final stop; we do not claim a verified direct airport bus to Skógar. Use the Strætó route planner to check possible connections before booking. A taxi requires an agreed long-distance fare and suitable capacity.
